A key figure on the French jazz scene, Michel Bonnet is a musician whose career, spanning back to 1981, reflects a deep passion for traditional jazz and swing. Trained at the Saint-Denis Conservatory, he honed his style under the influence of legends such as Louis Armstrong, Roy Eldridge, and Rex Stewart.
Over the decades, Michel Bonnet has collaborated with numerous prestigious ensembles, from the "Claude Bolling Big Band" and the "Paris Swing Orchestra" to his own groups like "Les Gigolos" (which evolved into "Pink Turtle" and later "Louis Prima For Ever"). His playing, characterized by timeless elegance, has graced the most iconic stages, from the Olympia in Paris to major international festivals in Nice, Antibes, and Vienna. A multifaceted musician, he also explores tributes to jazz masters, notably with the quintet "Bean Soup," dedicated to the compositions of Coleman Hawkins.
