Biography
Born in Geneva in 1980, this versatile double bassist grew up immersed in traditional jazz. After studying at the Bern University of the Arts (HKB) and the HEMU in Lausanne, he quickly made a name for himself on the European scene. A multi-award winner (Montreux and Avignon Jazz Festivals, Best Bassist at the B-Jazz Contest), he has distinguished himself in leading projects such as the Florian Favre Trio, his own CHOICE quintet, and alongside harpist Julie Campiche. A highly sought-after sideman, he has accompanied international stars like Tom Harrell and Cécile McLaurin Salvant, while actively teaching and keeping the traditional jazz flame alive in various Swiss ensembles.
