About Jean-Loup Muller Quartet

This Quartet, composed of seasoned professionals with a strong musical bond, treated the audience to wonderful improvisations on traditional jazz standards. The presence of Thomas Winteler—who also happens to be the long-standing musical programmer for Rive Jazzy—naturally gave the concert a distinct Bechet-inspired hue. On clarinet and soprano saxophone, he once again proved how deeply he has absorbed the spirit and musicality of Sidney Bechet.
