About The Fats Boys & Rhythm
A vibrant tribute to the genius of Fats Waller is set to get you swinging! As their mischievous name suggests, the "Fats Boys" celebrate the legacy of the legendary New York pianist, performing his most iconic themes marked by brilliant humor and creativity.
For this special occasion, the original trio expands into a full seven-piece ensemble. With the addition of an extra horn player and a reinforced rhythmic section, the group deploys a unique sonic richness, blending bright brass, swinging strings, and traditional percussion. This musical journey will also explore the immortal standards of other jazz giants, such as Louis Armstrong and Jelly Roll Morton.
This exceptional concert, born from a collaboration between Rive Jazzy and Le Rosey Concert Hall, will take place in the magnificent setting of the Rosey Hall on May 10th at 5:00 PM.
