This vocal-instrumental quartet draws its identity from a swing repertoire from the 1930s and 1940s, enriched with original compositions in English and Spanish. With its four-part harmonies and unique instrumentation — clarinet, washboard, guitar and double bass — Hot Shooters charms festival audiences and has shared the stage with legends such as Ron Carter and Kenny Barron.

Since its creation in 2009, Swiss TriBe has been passionately celebrating the legacy of Sidney Bechet, a legendary figure in classic jazz. With its original reinterpretations of the legendary clarinettist and soprano saxophonist's greatest hits, this Swiss quintet has established itself as a must-see act on the jazz scene. For this exceptional concert, American singer and performer Nicolle Rochelle joins the group, bringing her powerful voice, irresistible charisma and love of swing. Discovered at a very young age on American television and then on the stages of Broadway, Nicolle has pursued a brilliant international career in jazz, blues, musical theatre and African-American dance. In Europe, she has notably distinguished herself in tributes to Josephine Baker and Billie Holiday, and has collaborated with many prestigious groups. A complete and committed artist, she infuses each performance with infectious energy and a rare stage presence. With Swiss TriBe, she offers a vibrant and elegant reinterpretation of Bechet's repertoire, combining tradition and modernity. Carried by original arrangements combining soprano saxophone, vibraphone and double bass, this musical encounter promises a spellbinding journey into the world of jazz from the 1930s to the 1950s, where emotion and virtuosity become one.

To attempt to cover Louis Armstrong's entire career within the time constraints of a show would mean limiting oneself to jumping from one key date to another significant event, all in just two sentences.

Breiti & the Big Easy Gators embody the spirit of New Orleans: a touch of the South and exoticism, all with more intensity and colour than anywhere else in the United States. Accompanied daily by the music of Marcia Ball, Professor Longhair, James Booker, Dr. John and Eddie Bo, pianist Daniel Breitenstein has always been captivated by the funky, swinging rhythms of New Orleans. The music of Breiti & the BIG EASY GATORS is varied, rhythmic and relaxed. Melancholic melodies with a bluesy feel are followed by parade tunes with rhythms that invite you to party. Gospel, boogie woogie, funky brass and a pinch of jazz: there's a surprise guaranteed at every turn.

Rania Yasmine, a Swiss artist of Dominican and Tunisian descent, embodies a true musical force. At just 18 years old, Rania has made a name for herself both as a solo artist and alongside other musicians, performing live on numerous occasions. A guitarist, singer, composer, performer and producer, she infuses her creations with a captivating musical essence, leaving an indelible mark on her audience. From an early age, Rania drew inspiration from musical greats such as Michael Jackson, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Bob Marley, Alicia Keys and Nina Simone. Rania creates unique music, imbued with her characteristic vibrant energy.

ALEX KLEIN, dubbed the star of the Fribourg Highlands by Schweizer Illustrierte, won over the audience with his powerful voice and masterful guitar playing. With more than 45 years of stage experience, this adopted Fribourg resident, passionate about Country Chicken Picking, Blues and Western Swing, delivered a performance rooted in the purest country tradition. Steeped in American culture, he has been touring festivals, clubs and line dancing events for years, forging strong ties with the country community. His stage performance also reflected his long-standing attachment to Nashville, the cradle of his musical universe.

Individually, they perform with some of the most popular artists in French-speaking Switzerland (including NNAVY, Arma Jackson, Lakna, and Caroline Alves). As a collective, they form Funk Therapy: the number one cover band! Whatever ailment your audience may be suffering from, Funk Therapy offers therapy through funk, with a selection of iconic, danceable hits.

Legrand Legacy Band is a musical project founded in 2022. Led by singer Anna Stevens, it offers a sensitive yet distinctly jazz-inspired tribute to Michel Legrand. Through carefully crafted arrangements of Legrand’s compositions, the band pays homage both to the composer and to his musical influences. Whether through swing or more Latin-inspired rhythms, Legrand Legacy Band’s repertoire invites audiences to share moments of joy and nostalgia, poetry and dance. The vocals highlight the lyrics in harmony with the melodies, celebrating the richness of the French language and the beauty of Michel Legrand’s words.

Behind this slightly old-fashioned yet wonderfully elegant name lies a composition by the great Django Reinhardt. The aim is to bring to life an acoustic repertoire from another era — virtuosic and firmly rooted in the tradition of “la pompe”. The group is led by outsider Loïc Grobéty, who for once puts aside his electric bass and distortion effects, joined by Rafaël Medde, who has spent many years on the road with his guitar, and by his twin brother Michaël. For this occasion, they welcome Damien Converset, a clarinettist and seasoned performer active in world music.

The internationally renowned Swiss boogie woogie and blues pianist Silvan Zingg, originally from Lugano, began improvising on his mother's piano when he was still a young boy. His repertoire ranges from lively boogie-woogie and soulful blues to classical jazz and swing – all played with lightness, improvisation, great passion and spirit in brilliant quality. This is what characterises the piano playing of Switzerland's ambassador of Boogie Woogie, as the international press calls him. He is one of the most famous Boogie Woogie pianists in Europe. Part of the concert will be played as a duet with clarinettist and saxophonist Thomas Winteler.

Geneva-based singer and actress of Spanish and Argentine origin, Camila Piccinini invites you to join her for a musical morning featuring a repertoire blending jazz, musical theatre and bolero. She will be accompanied by Cédric Schaerer on piano, Pierre Balda on double bass and Nathan Triquet on drums.

A girl singing Brassens? Sacrilege! I can already hear you cry. Exactly — sacrilege, subversion and irreverence are what Georges Brassens, the self-proclaimed “pornographer of the gramophone”, revelled in, with wit and sheer delight. Les Pornographes have enjoyed remarkable success: hundreds of concerts in prestigious venues and festivals across France and Switzerland, three albums — a show for all ages, for every ear, for everyone who delights in beautiful words, delicate melodies and the simple, timeless way music used to be made.

This regional quintet performs Hot Jazz standards from the 1920s to the 1940s as well as New Orleans revival classics.

The Jungle Jazz Band is a Traditional Jazz group formed by six young international musicians based in Berlin. They all share a strong passion for early jazz, born in New Orleans at the beginning of the 20th century. Within the European swing dance and traditional jazz scene, The Jungle is known for delivering some of the finest hot jazz around. The band regularly collaborates with renowned New Orleans musicians, including Meschiya Lake, Russell Welch and Joseph Faison. Drawing inspiration from great composers such as Jelly Roll Morton, King Oliver, Louis Armstrong’s Hot Five, Bix Beiderbecke and Sidney Bechet, the group offers fresh interpretations that delight audiences ranging from swing dancers to dedicated jazz enthusiasts.
