About Brooklyn Swing All Stars
This exceptional ensemble was born in 2017 in the heart of Brooklyn, following a creative meeting between three European musicians. The quartet brings together Swedish prodigy Björn Ingelstam (Swedish Jazz Award winner) on trumpet, Sicilian accordionist Roberto Gervasi, and Bordeaux-born singer Stéphane Séva, one of Europe’s leading washboard specialists. Rounded out by Australian double bassist Leigh Barker, the band’s musical and human chemistry was instantaneous.
A unique fixture on the Swing scene, their unconventional line-up blends the rhythmic drive of the washboard with the lyrical flights of the accordion. It is a one-of-a-kind sonic journey where Italian virtuosity meets the warmth of vocal jazz, delivering a pure and infectious swing experience.
