The Moonlight Gang brings the atmosphere and dance music of pre-war ballrooms to life! A time rift through which the piano and vocals scream their swing while the double bass and drums set the pace. All that’s left is to let your soul be soothed while sipping a Mint Julep. Passionate about the first half of the last century, and more specifically the music of the 1920–1960 period, Roman Bader and Yannick Darbellay founded The Moonlight Gang in 2014. They were quickly joined by Guillaume Buro, Pierre-Yves Aufranc, and Adriano Bassanini. Piano, double bass, guitars, drums, trumpet, and the "poor man's trumpet": the Kazoo! The quartet is ready to get you dancing to a repertoire straight out of a 1930s-40s club. Upbeat swing, rhythm’n’blues, and popular pre-war ballroom tunes—it’s going to be a lively night at Rive Jazzy!
