About Burgundy Swing
A Burgundian orchestra bringing together seasoned jazz veterans, Burgundy Swing was formed in 2008. Most of its musicians had previously cross paths in various regional bands, such as JAZZOGENES, the ANTHRACITE JAZZ BAND, and JAZZ DANIEL PUDDLEUR, forging a deep artistic complicity along the way. After a period dedicated to the repertoire of the 1920s, they have now turned their focus toward the Swing era—a time that witnessed, in parallel with the rise of legendary big bands, the blossoming of numerous small ensembles gathered exclusively for historic recording sessions.
