Just Hot 5tet

The repertoire of the Just Hot 5tet is inspired by the great traditional jazz themes of Clarence Williams, Fats Waller, and other composers from the 1920-1940 era, with a special tribute to Sidney Bechet and Louis Armstrong. Satchmo's verve and sensitivity can be found in the trumpeter's sound; the trombone's phrasing recalls the tonal quality of Jack Teegarden, and the soprano's accents are worthy of the great Bechet in Antibes and Juan-les-Pins. And that's when the chairs started to waltz!
